Front Tie-Down points for Trailering an E30?

I was wondering what I should use to secure the front of my SpecE30 car to my trailer. (In the rear, I'm going to use the rear subframe and/or "axle straps" through the rear wheels.)

I have an '87 with the early air-dam and diving boards. The trailer is an open-center Bri-Mar.

    Thanks.

You mean the loops on the frame rails at the rear of the wheel wells? I can't use those -- the angle to my trailer tie down loops would cause the straps to rub against the steering linkages.

Shark, I recently picked up an 85 that didnt have the loops in the body by the lollipops, so I ran the tie down straps around/through the lower control arms and it was fine for the 100 mile trip.

through the control arms is good, you generally dont want to load the suspension, (like those loops on the frame would do) so I go to the bottom of my shocks in the rear (made some bolt on plates) and to the holes in the control arms (I have the hook style tie downs with the safety catch) so i just click em into the control arm holes... out towards the wheels slightly

Ive also heard mixed reviews about crossing the straps, some say its what you do, others will never do it... I dunno I usually just run em straight and call it a day
