    New Accessory belts still squeal

Replaced belts and it still squeals when I first initially start the car. I assume I still have to tighten one of them? Although it feels pretty tight. Is it possible to over tighten?
Also, the power steering adjuster bolt will not tighten. The teeth will not grab to adjust the belt. So I'm currently driving with no power steering. Any remedy? Or do I have to find a new bracket?
Same with the alternator. It went as far as it could. But just stop climbing. I assume it's as tight as it could go.

The star teeth or the rack teeth are stripped. Probably from someone attempting tighten or loosen the belt without loosening the pivot bolt. The most proper repair is to replace the damaged parts, but you can use a lever to adjust tension.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

If you don't have immediate access to another toothed bracket, you could loosen the pivot nut and wedge a big (like 2-3') screwdriver in there and hold tension on the belt. Then have a friend tighten the nut.

      Edit:
