Perhaps a stupid pressure guage question...

I need a fuel pressure guage... but for some reason there are NONE to be found in Lebanon, although OIL pressure guages are a dime a dozen.

My question is, isn't pressure pressure? What's the big deal with slapping an oil pressure guage onto the fuel line to see fuel pressure? Other than the fact that the guage itself says "Oil Pressure", is there any other issue?

Am I being totally stupid here and missing some basic tenet of chemistry?

It should work fine, for a temporary measurement device.
