How the HELL do I get the inner race off?

I'm doing front wheel bearings and on the drivers side the hub came off but left the inner race on the spindle.

I tried getting it off with a prybar, nothing
acetelyne torch + prybar, still nothing

Then I tried welding 3 nuts to the race and using my 3-jaw puller to pull on the nuts. The nuts are breaking off as fast as I can weld them back on! They arent breaking at the weld, rather parto of the base material is breaking off.

    Any tricks?

Take the rotor backing plate off and try to find some sort of an angle to hammer it off with a chisel. This is the only method that has ever worked for me.

air hammer is the best method i've seen, it was shown to me and it works everytime without too much fuss, just be careful and wear your safety glasses. if you have access to one or know someone who could help you out there, that'd be your best bet as everything else you've tried is coming nowhere near the force that is required to remove it.

Cut off wheel or hammer. Ive done them both and they both work well. Air hammer is quicker, but dont slip.

You'd have to cut the backing plate off though because it sits behind the bearing right?

no I was able to pull the hub off pretty easily with a puller. The backing plate comes off easily with the hub off.

Only the hub is in the way of the plate. He's just a little race stuck to the spindle so the plate can come right off.

In the future you could use a bearing seperator to pull a bearing race that is stuck on the axle or rear hub. Cheap ones can be found at Harbor Freight. I soaked my front bearings with PB Blaster before pulling them and the races came off fairly easily. On the rear I replaced the hubs, so I did not care if the race was stuck on the hub.
