    garagistic odometer gear issue

Note: this is not an issue with garagistic the company, they came through just fine.

What I'm having trouble with is the operation of the odo itself. I have a VDO cluster btw.

I put it together one day, and it worked wonderfully for about 19 miles, then stopped. I came to a stop and reset the odo hoping maybe it just got stuck, but that didn't fix it.

So I tore apart the cluster again, adjusted the small yellow spacer that keeps the one gear in alignment (thinking maybe it jammed the gears), and put the car back together.

    It worked! For 9 miles.

I'm going to take it apart again, but this is obviously not a solution.

    Anyone have this issue?

The motor itself sounds like the problem

Looking at Realoem, yes, you have to buy the entire speedometer.....I can see you a whole cluster with working speedometer and new gears installed (about 2 years ago) for $30 plus shipping if you're interested.....I have two clusters for parts and I don't need them both....
