    Impact Wrench

I'm looking to purchase a good impact wrench for those tight bolts mainly. I'm not ready to buy an air compressor yet so not air impact wrench yet.

I was looking at this one. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...00&tab=spe#tab
Anyone have any other good suggestions.

    Thanks.

    ?

That link you posted was for an air wrench, you looking for a cordless battery op'ed model?

I've been thrashing about my 99-129$ "Chicago" Harbor freight model for 3 years, no problems with it. It's the 19.2 volt half inch one they sell, god knows what it retails for now.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

My bad. I thought that wasn't an air one b/c it's cordless?

How much torque does your wrench go up to?

With an electric or cordless impact wrench, you won't get more torque from those than you will with a good socket + breaker bar (with a cheater pipe). Electric impact wrenches come in handy- but don't get one thinking it'll be like magic when it comes to getting things loose. I have a Dewalt electric 1/2" impact, and it's nice, but when I need something tight broken loose, I use a 1/2" socket with breaker bar + cheater pipe (always use a breaker bar with a lifetime warranty on this....).

Leverage is your friend, use it!!

Yeah, these are the times i was referring to. Thanks for your input guys. If electric impact wrenches such that bad, then i guess i'll have to invest in an air comp.
