Audible alarm "ding" sound while driving?

I just got my 90 325is back from the shop and now an alarm type "ding" goes off every 15 secs while I'm driving. Can someone tell me what this is?

This alarm is going off regardless of speed, it is happening between 20mph all the way up to 75mph.

the on board computer....its the thing right by the radio.....
if the speed is set to lets say 5mph, then it will ding from 6mph to 1000000mph

My does it because my oil serivice bar, at least I think that is what it is, is flashing all the reds. I just have to get it reset because I do my oil and don't have the tool to turn it off

I don't know how to work that thing and I don't have my manual...

What's the point in that thing anyways? To simply let you know that you have gone over a certain speed?

Yup, you set it at say 75 then is dings at you when you are going faster than that.
