make sure the connector on the body side has the tabs intact that allow it to stay in the opening, if they are broken you will have a bear of a time getting them together as it will keep forcing itself in the cavity behind the speaker. I had to change mine, only had to repin like 4 wires because it was two seperate parts, the outer part was all i had to change, brand new from BMW, all the tabs were intact and it snapped together very easy
