    MAF upgrade for an m42?

is there one? i know there is for the m50/s50,m20 and various others but what about the m42? Is there any parts off e30s or other cars i can use? Also im running an m42 with a JC chip, stock m50 injectors, cams, intake, ceramic coated stock headers, high flow cat/muffler

M50 injectors are smaller than M42 injectors.

I am doing a MAF swap using a SMT6 piggyback and a Maf that a local ferrari mechanic (318is driver also) gave me. The maf is from a 360 Modena.

To answer your question, there is no direct swap. The M30 VAM might work but would definately be overkill.

      Arn't the M42 injectors 13-15# while the M50's are 17.5#?

eh, just upgrade to obd2... make it an m44, then you can run the mass air sensor.

I was actually wondering if that was possible, because I was going to try it out. It was my understanding that if the output signal from the maf equalled the output signal of the original afm, then it would be cake. Trick was making a board to change the voltage. Not difficult, just use more resistance, as I thought the maf returned more voltage than the afm. Since the stock afm is a simple pot device, all it does is change the resistance amount. The heated wire changes resistance based on airflow, and should do so at an equivalant amount compared to an afm, so get the voltage to equal. Any thoughts, input?
