Thanks! I'll try and look for those grounds. I got the bentley manual, guess that'll work too.

What about the other stuff? Any idea?

Im not even looking for someone to tell me what it is, just where to look. I really have no idea what that noise could be. Don't really want to randomly replace stuff =)

Could it be the power steering pump? The mystery noise (last video) is coming from the pump's pulley's vicinity, so i checked the pulley and sure enough it does move a bit (imagine worn bearings), but you have to yank it with some force to move. The belt on it hasn't been changed too from the look of it. Also there's a rhythmic metallic sound while driving that changes in lenght (but not so much in pitch) with speed. I was suspecting the water pump, but i don't think it's got the right characteristics for that.

So, could this be a dying servo pump?

I have also found this in the trunk while checking the batteries connections - it was behind the grounds terminal:

The other end was just resting at the bottom, under the battery, rusting. Attached to nothing.

That looks like a homebrew battery tiedown maybe? And the power steering pump should make a whine when worn (I can't watch the video right now) unless something is coming apart inside which would be pretty noticeable. The whine/groan would also change in pitch with engine speed.

Don't know, i'm looking for the clamp, so the damn thing stays in place =D
Hm .. its not very noticable, but its getting worse. It wasn't so "loud" a month ago.

Also, it doesn't change in any way if I turn the wheels. Its just a constant highly pitched whine, not a whirr like you would expect from the PS pump.
