Door gong

Hi all,

I am almost done with my build but 1 thing that bugs me from the shell that I am using is the door gong is not working. I have tried two different speakers, and no dinging or anything when door is open.

I'd like to have it but i know some people disconnect these. Are there any common wires that I should check to get this working again? Or possibly my two speakers i am trying are bad?

did you make sure that your gong has 2 connectors connected to it not just one?

On the drivers side there is a plunger/plug that lets the dome lights turn on when the door is open. It has a Phillips screw that holds it on the front of the door frame, take it off and pull the plunger/plug out and check to see if both wires are connected.

did you make sure that your gong has 2 connectors connected to it not just one?

I only see 1 connection going to the gong, the one with the slanted edges. It seems that I am completely missing the other wire as shown in this pic:



Not sure where this other wire would be hiding, where does the other wire connect to?
