Help w/moonroof wind visor, roof not closing..

I took the moonroof wind visor off my 84 318i and put it on my 90 325is however it seems, as thin as the hook piece is, it is keeping the moonroof from shutting... . I have flattened it as much/flush as possible and it still won't close! It's seems I would have to resort to the adhesive kind of visor. Is this really going to be the case?

My wind visor thingy does the same thing, I have to open my window and hold it down with one finger while I close the sunroof. I guess you could glue / tape it down, it would be louder in the car whild driving with the sunroof open though.

No, I have that prob as well but that is NOT the prob I am referring too, in the picture you can't really see it cause it's dark but I am referring to the thin hook peice next to my thumb's knuckle, the hook that allows you to screw on the wind visor. That piece is causing the moonroof to stop....

BTW, you should be able to just push up on the moonroof itself from the inside instead of the outside with the finger pushing down thing.... works for me.

no, they're not needed, the piece that your holding down with your thumb does the trick just fine.... and you don't need the metal thing by your thumb (bronze) colored part unless your attaching a plastic visor to the exterior of the car. you need to adjust your tracks a little they must be a little off if it's binding up, unless it's a universal clip.
