Why can't hit 10 PSI?- SECOND PART! Pics....!!!!

    Well, this what I found....

the first journal is the from the rod (first cylinder), where the metal fits and what you are looking at is the metal that was there...for luck the journal is in good shape and is soft...no scratches...

NOTE that the metal bearing has axial play, it doesn't fit tightly in the rod "clamp"

and this is the second main bearing metal that hols the crank, also the the rod bearing below is the 6th cylinder, wher eit looks like new with out any scratch on it...just the first cylinder failed..
    (sorry for the Focus)

You didnt notice shavings in your oil???

You have bad luck Diego. You spend more time fixing then driving.

Sorry to hear that Diego :(
Unfortunatley this is what happens when things aren't done properly!!

Diego, you should have waited till you had your tuning just right before giving it a hard time.
With your detonation problems it is very common to run big ends, bend rods & destroy pistons!!

Best thing to do now is a nice forged low comp bottom end rebuild, then get the ECU tuned properly so it doesn't detonate!!

ok, i'm being a little nitpicky-

but this is the same problem you were having before, right? why create a new thread for it? tack the info on the old one...

hope you get your setup running clean again.
& thanks, because you're showing me what to avoid when i finally get going on my m20t :)

how are you addressing ignition retard under boost, anyhow? i don't remember seeing anything re: that last time i checked your cardomain site, but my memory sucks...

Yes, the oil looks find I will have to look carefully the oil to see if I find some particules or est of metals....

I'm changing only the metals with out... taking down the engine, I will polish the journals for better smooth and such things...it has a good clearance between the bearings and the journals, more details tomorrow..

Diego I'm not knocking you in anyway man so dont get offended. But your car had a pinging (bigger injectors would solve) and you blew your....head gasket? Without a properly rebuilt motor you are asking for trouble my friend.

Told you man, you have to rebuild that sukce correctly. Half ass leaves you walking.

no no, I made a mistake, all this happened when I filled with the airplane fuel in my tank...before I was runing 10 PSI with out problems, runing hard and with out pinging...trust me, the engine is and looks like new...it doens't need a bottom rebuild.... it just was the damm fuel...believe me...

Now I will dot he things right, step by step....

By the moment I have changed the first bearing metal of the 1st rod, I polished it and left soft... with the correct clearance....in the bad luck I have good luck :D

What admires me the most is how you can deal with all these issues and still keep interested and working hard on your car. Props to you for the patience and interest. You'll hopefully have your car up and running in no time.

Don't look for metal shavings yourself. Take an oil sample and have it analizesed by a pro shop. They will be able to tell you if your engine is getting blow by on the rings. If so you could have FUEL in your crankcase and this would have caused the bearing issue real damn quick. Broken down oil equals friction. You need to sort things before dumping more money into this.

Take this with heed, and do some checking.
