Replaced wrong relay under steering wheel, car won't start

    Hey guys,

I just fucked up big time and I don't know where to begin. I was trying to fix the ABS light always on problem by replacing the relay, but I put the wrong one in and now my car won't start.

I really need some help on how to begin fixing/diagnosing this problem because as of right now I think I fucked it up.

I should add that when turning the key all the way to start, not all the lights in the instrument cluster turn on.

Before everything would light up, ABS/Park brake/battery/check/ the green lights in the middle, and the radio.

Now it's just the ABS/Battery & radio (+ exterior lights) that turn on.

No crank in the engine whatsoever even after putting in the old relay that was working.

you might need to give more info then that.

i dont think i can help too much. but start by giving more info.

did you unplug something and not plug it back in?

did you replace a relay, try to start the car and just plain old nothing happened.
or did you hear a pop, or a sound that wasn't normal? any smelling of fried electronics?

      check fuses under the hood?

just throwing shots in the dark.

i have no idea what i am doing with my life

i didnt hear any pops when it happened, and i first did a quick scan of the fuse box and didnt see anythkng. but after cooling down for a bit and checking the fuse box with a light i found fuse 10 popped.

replaced the fuse and the problem was fixed. that was a scare for a bit
