    rattle rattle rattle...

I'm about [___] that close to ripping my driver's door off and putting a spare black one on.

I don't know what's rattling, but it sounds like I've got a handful of nails in my door. It's driving me BONKERS.

I THINK it's the window guide - all the way to the left if you're looking at the driver's door from the inside, panel off. Is there a bolt or something that I can tighten on this? I'm so tempted to take a door and sawzall the inside edge out so I can see how everything fits in there - but with my luck, some dumbass will hit my driver's side door and I won't have a spare...

I drive a cabby, if that matters. Thanks guys.

check to make sure you have those little plastic grommets on the lock rods etc. that shit wears out or breaks and creates all kinds of noise. they are cheap and quiet a lot of rattles. my car needs them bad

Its the window guide, Scott. The little plastic/nylon guide piece is gonzo. You might swap the doors or swap the window assembly from the other door.

If you put the window up about 1/2 an inch - it stops rattling.:D

And I'd put that black door on before you get it painted (that is why I gave it to you!) - that dent in the black one will come out and the blue one has some "creative" body filler work done on it by an owner previous to me.

I did one better and got a parts cabby with two straight, dent and rust free doors :) When it gets painted over the winter, they'll go on.

It's doing it with the window all the way up too! When I have the window down, I put it up just a bit and it's BETTER, but still pretty bad.

How do I get the window and regulator out? I can just swap it with another one.

I think Bentley can tell you about the window.

Different one - once I pick up the one you pointed me to, I'll have two :)

being lazy. I'll look later. Taken 400 old style ones out, none of the "scissor style" ones.
