How do you get the in-tank pump out?

I'm trying to get the intank pump out of an e30 (in a junkyard, long story. bottom line is i need an intank fuel sender from an e30), and I get the cover under the seat off, I get the lines and electrics off and i twist the sender out, and it goes up about 3 inches and stops and I can wiggle it, but it won't come out. Is there some special way i have to twist it to get it out or something? Is there something else i need to get loose first?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Remove the four small nuts first, then pull this part out (which is the fuel level sensor), then you should be able to pull the rest of the pump out, with a bit of wiggling!

Thanks... that's what I was worried about. I (stupid me) didn't have any sockets with me, so i couldnt try that.
