Is this the speed sensor everyone is referring to? Bavauto has it for 85 dollars.

That looks like it, take a look at the Bentley , it shows u how to test its resistance and what to expect. You can also try cleaning it. Sometimes crud gets on them ....

I'm thinking same, either motor flywheel sensor, or flywheel it self is cracked or damaged.

(00MPH!) George had similar problem, we switched AFM/ICV, new wires, tune up, switched ECUs still nothing, so it turned out what I just mentioned.
:nice: thanks to your help Amirani......Yeah Nick, I had a very similar problem. Check the crankshaft sensor and the crankshaft balance. In my case, the crankshaft balance was cracked and causing vibrations......check that stuff out. Good luck

Thanks for the help. Time to go check this stuff out once I am home again. Something tells me I am not going to be looking forward to it. :(

I recommend swapping the main relay.

Don't know what the problem is, but I got the 5500RPM lean buck when I was working on an MAF in my car. It wasn't 100% consistent though IIRC
