Kind of a long shot, but I recall seeing a leaking oil pressure sender push the oil up the sleeve surrounding the sensor wire, and the leak then appears to be near the alternator.

Happened to me not too long after i dropped in my new used engine. not a long shot at all really, it dripped haneous amounts of oil for me though. had to fix asap. got the sensor by duralast from autozone, less than $10 IIRC

Hmmm this is interesting. Where exactly does this sender thread into the block?

I'd say the amount I'm leaking is quite a bit as well... But it's only when it's running which is what made me think it was definitely related to the oil pressure.

I'll definitely check this out when I get home, thanks guys. Anyone happen to have that part number?

I think it's 12611730160 but the autozone one is fine bruh. you'll need a deep socket or an open end wrench

That was it! I had a hard time believing it when I first looked at it. Oil was being pushed from waaay down there, uphill, all the way over the thermostat housing to the other side of the block . Fired it up and lifted that conduit; sure enough, oil was pouring out. Replaced the sensor, topped off the oil, and I'm good to go!!

Thanks for all the help folks, it probably would have taken me a very long time to find that. Gonna degrease the engine bay today and hope there are no more surprises!
