    Gas pedal

I know the stock pedal is wired and it feels so choppy to the point where I can't rev softly without it jumping to 4k. Does anyone have experiance with electric gas pedals? I am kind of interested in installing one, I think it would be better then replacing the cable. Btw I have moved the flange at the throttle body and it's fine

have you lubed anything?? What you are contemplating is not better than replacing the cable, If that even needs to be done

youd rather convert your car to drive by wire then change the throttle cable? LOL

Every car ever made up until fairly recently has used a cable. There is nothing wrong with a cable actuated throttle.

As Blunt suggested, try lubing the cable first and if that doesn't fix it, buy a new one. A sticky/stiff cable will cause all kinds of problems.

Drive by wire (electrical switch) is the opposite of why someone should own an e30. A good cable will be smooth and the responsiveness should be excellent.

Yes I lubed it and still feels weird :/ I guess I'll try replacing it. But I didn't know most cars are still by wire

Most are/were driven by cable, is what he was saying.

Yeah, but I guess I can understand how the mechanic feel of the e30 is important

If you've ever driven an e46+ the drive by wire causes a kind of noticable delay in throttle response. don't put your e30 through that punishment.

The same can be said for the Mini Coopers. The only way to get rid of it was to drive the car in sport mode. Otherwise i often found myself "leaning into the acceleration" without any acceleration happening. It was pretty annoying actually.

You need to replace the cable. Also check the bushings for the throttle rod behind the pedals.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

OP I think you're having trouble with nomenclature. "Drive by wire"% is not a cable, it's the electric throttle system
