    Loud vibration and increased noise

I think I know the answers, but would.like.a second opinion.

I recently did a differential replacement. I always had a little.vibration at 15mph going up a steep San Francisco hill under load. After the swap, it really clatters now, and I must accelerate quickly past that range to minimize it. I think my drive shaft bearing was dying, and moving the shaft forward a bit during install probably made it worse. Sound logical?

Also there is an ever increasing grinding sound coming from the front that would get louder and higher pitched as speed increased. Gas on or off has no impact on noise, and I believe I feel the grinding in the pedals. I thought maybe the junkyard diff was sending noise through the drivesaft, but today I was able to serpentine on a road. The noise went away on sharp right turns. Wheel bearing? If so which one? Thanks.

The noise going away on a right hand turn points to a bad left side bearing. Since the bearings are probably original, replace both.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
