Oil Change Videos on The E30

Found these videos on the ole inner web and they are pretty good examples of how to correctly change your oil. I will add a few other things to do here as well though, these are what to also do plus the video's.

I like how this guy works and love his saying in the 2nd video, " A little redline for a good time" dang that's a sticker quality saying there.

    1) I like to jack the car up slightly on the drivers side (with a jack stand there as well for safety, let it down on the jack stand then use the jack as a "danger close" catch. This will let even that nasty sludge have a chance to drain out, and let it drain for a while don't replace the drain plug right after it quits dripping because some sludge could be right behind it.

    2) Don't hold your wrench in the position he had his in, see how he almost busted his knuckle? Always start with your wrench in the furthest position away from you so when it un torques your hand remains unscathed. I personally like to use a closed in wrench or a ratchet wrench but a ratchet and socket are gtg as well.

    3) I like to always fill the new filter at least half way (anything more will spill out when you turn it sideways to install) and always run some new oil around the O ring to get a good seal and it also prevents the new surfaces meeting for the first time from binding.

Other than that pretty good videos, the gentleman was very clean and spoke clearly with good video. I will try to get some video's up after I get a new camera. Have a good one and wrench safe!
