    Oil for R12?

So I have neither the time nor energy nor money to properly do an R134 conversion, so I'm just going to pump the thing full of one of those store-bought R12 wanna-bes (non propane).

So, what type of oil do I have to use with R12? (I have the r134 PAG oil in there now).

Pag isnt compatible with the mineral oil thats used with r12. To be safe just run ester oil as its used with r134a retrofits. Its compatible with r12 and r134a.

OK, then it must be the ester that I have in there now. I guess I'll just go pick up some of that syn r12.

Where are you picking up your r12/freeze12? And any idea how much it runs? Just curious myself. I had a 12 oz bottle of r12 that cost 3.99 back in the early 90s. That stuff is worth 25 bucks easy.

I just bought 3 cans of r12, a low side gauge, and a can tap for like $85 on ebay.

I sold mine with a hi/lo gauge and can tap for 35. Did you have to show a license for the r12?

Yea, I gave the guy the number off my 609 license.
How much did you sell for $35?
