Cold Start Injector Works, but no others apparently. (86 325e)

The car will start, but just very briefly. I have confirmed that the cold start injector sprays fuel, but the rest don't appear to be working. I can run it off of starting fluid and it sounds very smooth, so spark is almost certain on all cylinders. I would appreciate help, as my searching didn't yield anything similar to my situation.

    Possibly an ecu/dme issue?

The DME is unlikely to be your problem. Your cold-start injector gets power from the ignition switch, and gets switched on and off by the DME. The other injectors are powered by the main relay. If the main relay goes bad, the fuel pump relay will not operate, either. If you have 12v at fuse 11 for the fuel pump, then check your fuel pressure. Good voltage at fuse 11, and no fuel pressure, usually indicates a bad pump, whereas no voltage suggests a relay problem. You'll need to find a wiring schematic that matches your production date to do any meaningful diagnosis.

The DME will not fire the 6 regular duty injectors unless it gets a signal from the tdc and crank speed sensors on the bellhousing.

The cold start injector fires based on on a thermo-time switch sensor.

Did any work precede the injectors not working?

I had the same problem with a car that stood for a LONG time. Cold start injector was firing OK, but 5 of the main injectors were either clogged from old fuel or stuck shut solid.
