    Coolant Check Light Problems

Forgive me if this has already been addressed, searched for this issue but couldn't find it.

When I start my car, check panel is fine and dandy, until the car warms up. Then, the coolant light comes on for what seems to be no reason. The level is fine in reality, and I've recently done a coolant flush with good 'ol BMW blue. It eventually turns off once the car has cooled back down.

    What could be the problem?

Look like your coolant level sensor is bad.

That's the little one with the float in the expansion tank, yes? Anything I can do to check the wiring before replacing it to be sure?

You can short the wire and the light should go away, but it is cheap to replace the sensor. Get it from Blunt.
