Funky idling

Just started my car this morning. Once it started it idled low and died. Turned it on again and pushed the throttle to make it idle a little higher. After that it was fine but then my check engine light was flashing at me for a few minutes. Anyone know? Thanks

What year and model is your E30? Can you do stomp test to get the CEL code out?
