Central Locking help! (Yes I searched)

My central locking quit working after a dash swap, or shortly there after. I believe it did work after the swap, but cannot remember exactly. They were working great when I got the car! I've re-keyed the driver to get that working, I've searched tirelessly for things I may have forgotten, but nothing has worked thus far.

I have tried inspecting and cleaning the CLCU unit, the relay, the door hinge harness (but did not pull each pin individually), and I have jumped the red/black wires to bypass the door loop, (circled in green is the wire I jumped to the double red/black connector on the CL relay, mounted next to CLCU). I swapped the fuse in the engine bay also, testing all doors for CL functionality after each step. I did plug in the little alarm speaker around the same at the kick panel for the first time since I've owned it, so the car beeps when doors open, etc. I tried unplugging it also just to see if I shorted something, but nothing.

I have attached a few photos of harnesses/connectors (circled in red) that I've noticed are hanging out with no obvious mates. Any of them supposed to be hooked up? Any other relays or fuses to check?

Thanks in advance for your time, you all have been fantastic so far on my new 89 325IX 4dr winter machine!

    Anybody have an hints?

Will the entire locking system stop working if one actuator or switch stops working?

      internal fuse

if powers and grounds check ok at lock module its possible the internal fuse blew ,see this write-up,

you also dont want to activate the locks if the module isnt mounted vertically as there is an internal rollover device inside it that can be damaged. there is a description and diag in most ETM's

Thanks, everything looks good - I'm not 100% on the ground, but the CLCU looks good - is that a CL relay next to it also? I noticed some posts call the larger one a relay also. I've ordered another CLCU and will give it a try first.

smaller relay is the light timer relay, delays interior lights off if all the switches are working correctly.

did you look at the diagnostics in an ETM(5126 central locking section )? its pretty helpful as i remember

All fixed! I put in a new CLCU, and it works like a champ after all that. I took another look at the old one and it looks to be in perfect shape, not sure what went wrong. Thanks for the help fellas.
