Guys-
Need some help here. I recently found a puddle of brake fluid under the car, which led me to the replacement of the slave cylinder as this is where the leak was coming from. After bleeding the slave cylinder...as best as I could, and obtaining a firm clutch pedal I drove the car around for a few minutes to test the transmission and it felt fine. I parked the car noticing that the battery light was on in the dash. The car now sits dead and jumping the car is only a temporary fix. Why does changing the slave cylinder cause the battery light to come on and any recommendations for a fix?

Thanks in advance.
