Car wont turn over please help

So about a week ago I jumped in my 90' 325i coupe to go to class... and i turn the key and nothing just clicking came from the starter. I had literally just drove it that morning. So I did what anybody would do i tried to jump start the battery. still nothing. so i figured it was the starter. well i put a new one in there and still nothing. then i got into the wiring. There is a relay that goes from the ignition switch to the starter motor i made a jump with some wire and still nothing. so i then assumed it was the ignition switch but i have 12.5 volts at the relay when i turn the key. I even tried making a jump from the battery straight to the starter and it doesn't even try to crank over. I feel like i've exhausted all my possibilities here. does anyone have any suggestions????

So you hotshotted a new starter and it still wouldn't turn the engine over? Not a good sign guy. Have you tried turning the crank to make sure it does turn? I know you just drove it but that's part of the diagnostic process. If it does turn, do you have a bunch of friends that could help push so you can pop start the car? It's gonna be much easier figuring that shit out at home. Plus, campus popo can be a bitch about fixing cars on school lots.

new known good starter with directly hot wiring it with new known battery means that timing belt snapped and piston locked on with the valve.
