M20 Stroker War Chip - Running Condition Help

So my car is a 2.7L stroker, eta bottom end, super eta pistons, decked block and head (roughly 9.8:1 compression), shrick 284/272 dual grind, bav auto headers, miller psik, and miller war chip and maf. Few other odds and ends too, but this is the meat of the build.

I'm having some issues and am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for troubleshooting.

    1. If the battery is unplugged, or the ECU reset, the car will barely run, like lopping misfire. At idle it hunts, and any throttle it jumps up, then misfires, over and over. After a variable amount of time spent idling, fiddling with the tune dial, etc, the car will eventually run normally. After talking to a miller rep about it, it sounds like when the battery is unhooked, the ecu adaptations are cleared, meaning that the car experiences some major running condition problem, and eventually the ecu adaptations compensate for this. This makes me think that something is amiss with either the maf, or a sensor.

    2. Recently we experienced freezing (below zero C) temperature, and my car absolutely would not start. I had someone boosting the car, and pulled the icv hose off the mani and sprayed quick start while someone cranked, and absolutely nothing. The car cranks and spins, but won't fire. After the temperature warms up, or the car sits in the sun for atleast a few hours, car fires right up.

Any tips on where to start would be greatly appreciated.
    Dan
