If you start a car from the diagnostics port, but won't start or even make a noise with the ignition switch. Does this indicate a bad ignition switch?

or a wiring issue ,also most aftermarket alarms cut and splice into the start output wire from the ignition switch and are a common to fail as not done correctly.Angus
