idle goes to 2000 when i push a/c button

try unplugging your idle speed increase plug near the ecu. ive seen it happen to someone else and it was something in this circuit

would it be a bad idle control valve though?

I've had that happen to me when I turn the throttle screw a bit too tight. The idle speed increase circuit then causes the idle to jump all the way to 1800-2100 with the a/c on, instead of around 950 where it should be. If your current idle is any higher than 750-800, loosen the throttle screw.

I assume you have an eta? The computer should be what turns the idle up some more though right? Doesnt seem like the linkage would be changed any bringing it off the rest position. Or is this how it works?
