Silver hair coming out of exhaust!! Never ending

Not sure if this is coming from muffler or catalytic converter, or if someone just stuffed crap in my exhaust.

Looks like fiberglass but not sure. Never ending sliver hair coming out. Will post pics

Some of the old mufflers are packed with fiberglass to dampen the noise.

I was mortified when I was going up one of the highways and saw 30 feet or so of it trailing behind the car in the rear view mirror

FYI - Also be on the lookout for a new muffler. You were fortunate that it was pushed out. Had the same happen to my cousin, but the wrapping clogged in the rear of the muffler and was causing him perplexing performance and overheating issues until he figured it out.
