    T-body causing bouncing idle?

Ive had a problem with my idle and Im yet to find out whats causing it. I was having a problem with my t-body staying stuck open so I switched to one from a newer m20. Mines the 87 m20 and I used one from a 90 m20. Theres only one hole for a vacuum connection on the firewall side of the t-body so I just left one of the vacuum lines disconnected. It was fine for a few months that it started ideling weird. The idel would bounce from about 1800-2200 rpm. Could this be my problem? Also could a bad t-body gasket or bad valve cover gasket cause this? Thanks

You left a vacuum hose off and basically caused a vacuum leak and youre asking why your idle is weird?

Its a steady bouncing from 1800-2200 RPM so yes.

The reason I asked Will is because it drove fine for months with it like that, I also put my old t-body back on and it still was doing it. Would I just need to let the computer adjust to it. I only tried to turn it over twice but the idle was still jumping.

Fix the vacuum leak, if that doesn't work, check the coolant temp sensor, which essentially plugs into the tstat body and tells the computer what the temp is.

Could a coolant temp sensor have anything to do with a weird idel? You know I was talking about the Throttle body right?

                            Cool....thanks.

Yea Im a big fan of my wheels. There getting 20mm spacers this week. Im sure I would love them in black but they have a nice finish to them right now so Im gonna rock them like this until I get bored of them then Ill spray the centers black or gunmetal and leave the lips polished and the bolts silver.

did this help at all? did u end up fixing ur vacuum leak? what was the result cause my car is acting funny with idle too i think its a vacuum leak ijust replaced my coolant temp sensor but the 1223 light stays on now, after the idle calmed down...but 1223 is still staying on and i donno if its a bad sensor (even though i just replaced it and it seem to have fixed my idle problem) or if i have a vacuum leak...
