Ill be just crusing and then it just shuts off. But if i hit the gas full throttle sometimes it will pop back on.

any clue on what to look for? i have no clue where to start.

Well, first thing that came to my mind was that it was being fuel starved. Those were the symptoms when my fuel pump was going out, but since you already replace that, maybe the fuel pressure regulator?

You know, I'm not sure. I just know atleast some years came with 2 pumps. Can someone else verify?

I'm pretty sure it was the late models that had 2, one in the tank and one externally, but I could be wrong.

                Yes - you are wrong.

Late models have one pump. Early ones have two.

check the wire to the reference sensor at the front of your engine.
