    Rebuilt?

hey guys, i am in the market for an e30 and i have a question about rebuilt e30s. I know they are unibodies which means if it gets into any major accident, the car is "garbage". BUT how bad can they be? What are teh cons about an rebuilt e30? Does it depend on how its rebuilt? I tried searching and couldn't find anything on rebuilds.

Reason being is that i finally found a e30 325is. These cars are quite rare in BC, Canada. (If anybody knows of one for sale in BC or in the seattle area, shoot me a PM :) )

    Thanks in advance.

Why not just have Ricky and Julian steal one for ya.. knowwha'm say mafucka?

    Seriously though..

As far as rebuilt E30s just make sure there was not any substaintial frame damage because I believe they are unibody cars. The best way to tell if it's going to be a problematic car is to take it to a reputable body repair shop and have them inspect the frame of the car.

Yeah get the frame checked out at a shop. Look for funny tire wear, that can be an indcation of frame damage.

Corry & Travor?! I've met cats and dogs smarter than Cory & Trevor.

BTW. Some reputable tire shops can properly identify frame damage because if you buy some expensive tires from them they will let you know if there is frame damage just so they can void the tires' warranty.

Rebuilt just means the cost to repair the car was more than the value of the car. Doesn't necessarily mean there was frame damage. Sheet metal can be expensive, might have just been the hood, fenders, front grill, you get the idea. That can add up to $$$.

Rare around here? Hardly, I see several every day.
