    CAR NOT STRATING! HELP! ****video****

I was driving my 1991 325ix and I ran it out of gas early that day. I rolled in gas station and filled it up. Then the check engine light came on. I drove around all day got home and let her sit. I was going back out and i started it and it sounded like the motor was dry then it just gradually cut off on me. What do you guys think this is? Here is

The pump possibly ran hot due to low gas. Bang on top of the fuel pump as you try to start crank it.

Will this cause the engine to sound dry?

check your fuel pump relay/fuse and also see if you have power at the pump. if you do have power and it still doesn't start then you probably just toasted the pump.

It sounds like you get no fuel into the engine. Your pump is probably toasted.

Check if your fuel pump is running.

                No?

Find the fuel pump and unplug it. Connect a 12v test light to the two wires and turn on the ignition. This will cause the fuel pump to prime, and the test light should be energized for a few seconds. Does the test light come on?

                Yes?

                Replace the pump.

                No?

                Check your fuses and relay.

The exact same thing just happened to me.
My fuel is good, I took off the hose going to the fuel rail and tried to start the car and gas came out. My spark is also good, but the car still won't turn over. All of my fuses were good.
Holy shit did you even read this post before you posted?

Sounds like your fuel pump went out. When they are not submerged in fuel they work harder then they should and it can cause premature wear on the part if it happens enough.
