    Remove sunroof e30

    Hi,

I have searched everywhere and cant find anything about removing the fabrics at the sunroof so i can acces the sunroof mechanics and the sunroof plate.

    How do i do?

Do not want to break anything.

I'm in the middle of this myself. So far I've managed to retract the sunroof and not close it. :S I'll keep you in the loop...

          1. Retract the sunroof half way
          2. disengage clips holding front edge of sunroof interior panel to exterior sunroof panel
(it is just some metal clips holding it on, but be gentle
          3. once disengaged, slide interior sunroof panel rearward
          4. You can now access the sunroof mechanisms

There should be a black rectangular panel next to your power sunroof buttons, remove it and you are able to turn the crank with an allen wrench.

And you should have the allen wrench in your BMW tool box in your trunk....

                    Ok. Update.

It was not an electrical sunroof - i found out when i took the panel down.

It is a manual sunroof, and i have now bought the mechanic part for it - but without the handle.

Can i somehow open the sunroof without the handle?

                    Regards
