    Diagnosis?

    Hey guys,

When driving at low speeds I hear a High pitched metal squeel, kind of like squeezing breaks, but not when I am applying the brakes. Sounds like it is coming from the rear. I shot the brakes with a bit of wd40 and it sounds a bit better, np it still there. Way worse in reverse. Hand brake feels weak.

    Any thoughts?

I would advise against putting WD40 on your brakes... But sounds like metal on metal. How are the rotors?

I just gave it a tiny shot to see if it affected the sound at all, and it did.

Rotors are all new. Maybe a rock got caught in there somewhere?

Could very well be. I had a rock stuck in my pads on my 02 for a few miles and god it was awful.. I would check for rocks next...

I'm going to go clean off the wd40 now. Haha.
