My gas pedal is in trouble- rusted off floor and needs bushings- please help

The mount that the pedal fits into that is on the floor board has rusted and no longer retains the pedal. Can this piece be purchased and re-attached to the floor?

Also, where can I get bushings for the pedal. There is so much play that I am only getting about 1/2 throttle. The car was slow to begin with and is now downright dangerous.

Somebody must have run into this before.

go to real oem, enter you vin #, go to the peddles selection and get the # for the bushings. as for the broken bracket, mine went too. what i did was JB weld the broken bracket to the fire wall and hold it in place with a stick against the seat till it cured. that was more than 2 years ago and so far, so good.

Thanks. I will check real oem. I pedal retainer is rusted and shot. I need to fabricate or find a new one. There is nothing really left to attach to the floor. Can this housing/retaining bracket be purchased?
