Not the cluster but check light. Have enough oil thats not the problem. Was driving down the road yesterday night and it popped on and wont turn off. Tomorrow morning I will check the grounds and the wires to the unit in the pan any other ideas or suggestions? Also can anyone tell me the ohms reading I should get when checking to see if the level indicator is faulty?

My car has the old type sensor, there are 2 wires and ground passes through the casing itself to the sump and the sump ground strap to the chassis.
The newer type has a rectangular connector and a dedicated ground wire so there are 3 wires total.

The oil level light will activate if any of the wires are damaged. It is a bitch to solder in that position and if any of the wires has broken - copper is most likely corroded inside the insulation, might as well get a new unit, which is what I did eventually.My transaction feedback on r3vlimited :):Clickety click
