Walbro Fuel pump... any experience with those??

    Walbro Fuel pump... any experience with those??

    So I traced everything in my fuel pump wiring and I figure the fuel pump is probably whats bad...... again.

    I am considering buying a new fuel pump, but I realize that the Walbro 255lph pump is significantly cheaper than OEM. Now my question:

    Will I flood my engine with fuel with that pump or does the pump work by only sending the amount required by the injectors/ECU.... maxxing itself out at 255lph?

    And basically..... should I go with the Walbro or man up and buy the OEM pump?

    Its a return style system, so the regulator keeps the pressure somewhat constant in the rail, and the rest is returned to the tank. The walbro will work fine.

        where are you looking at purchasing the Walbro from? what's the best price you've found RWDrift? i also have been doing research on the 255 lately


        anyone had a bad experience with the Walbro 255?

          ive had experience with these pumps...i had it on my mazda rx7turboII...excellent product...i do warn you though, with my heavy foot, that thang killed my gas...seeing 3 foot fireballs shoot out of my dual mufflers was priceless though...

            Its the rotary's fault... not the fuel pump lol

            As for the pump, I found one locally (ironically for an rx-7 since u just mentioned it) for $70.

              A stock 2 rotor with no cats can shoot fire.
