    M42 318is help needed ASAP...

    Hey everyone...
I just put a new M42 in my 318is, but need to know a few things that I cant find ANYWHERE.

1: Which wire (from the harness) goes to which coil??? (detailed photo??)
2: Can someone post a photo of your battery distribution block?

    Let me know.
If you cant post photos, my email is Funk@autobahnsport.com Thanks!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I don’t have a picture for you, but I have the wiring diagram in front of me. There are a total of 7 wires coming out of the distribution block. On the right pole, which is fused, you need to connect three red wires; 1 to the diagnostic plug, 1 to the main relay, and one to the fuel pump relay. On the left pole you need to connect a red wire to the fuse box, a red wire to the abs, and a black wire to the starter (this one will be a heavy gauge). I can’t help you with the coils since the wires are all the same colors, I would try to match it up by length, if your desperate I can tell you the pin numbers that go to each coil and you can trace it. By the way if you wondering where the fuel pump and main relay are they are mounted between the airflow meter and fuse box. The one towards the front of the car is the main relay and the one in the middle is the fuel pump relay.
