    Intentionally run gas tank dry?

I've put about maybe 100-150 miles on my e30 since I got it. I know it sat for a while (driven little in 6 months) before I bought it. It had about half a tank of gas and it could be old. It's getting a little low after the miles I've put on it. Wondering if I should run all or almost all of the gas out of it in order to get nice fresh fuel in it. Or, maybe running it dry would cause some crappy sediment to clog the fuel filter.

Running it dry can destroy your fuel pump too... So I'd recommend not doing that. There is a drain plug for the gas tank. In my experience though, it takes longer than 6 months for gas to get real bad. I say fill it up the rest of the way with new gas and go from there, you should be good to go
