    Odd slave cylinder issue

So, when I took my car apart, I realized my salve cylinder, having only put about 4,000 miles on it - was done. The gasket around the cylinder was ripped beyond belief! Not sure how it happened, but it saddened me nonetheless.

Well, I decided to just use the one that I took off the IS that I had laying around.

Hooked it up before I had all my brake system bled.

Finished bleeding brake system, using the BavAuto pressure bleeder at 15psi, and moved on to the slave.

Opened the bleeder - nothing. I know there was pressure on it, cause the cylidner was pushing out a tiny bit.

Mind you - there is nothing in the car right now (drivetrain, engine, tranny - all out). So, I can't have someone go hit the clutch pedal, otherwise that will blow my slave's seal (I think...?). I know I can bleed it using the pressure bleeder, I've done it before.

I went as far to remove the slave cylinder's bleeder screw entirely - moved the slave around like mad - tried pushing slave back in, and pulling out (not much of course) - and still - nothing.

Is my slave bad??? $40 is nothing given the amount i've poured in already - I'm just wondering what other's think.

Before it's asked- my master is brand new, and working order.

Grab a paperclip and straighten it out so you have a straight piece of metal around an inch long.

Remove the bleeded screw and JAM the paperclip into the small hole and dig around, you probably have a small piece of rust blocking the bleeding port.

Keep pressing it in until you feel it go into the cylinder. Then repeat bleeding.

Awesome, I'll give that a shot!

      Thanks, James! :)
