metal hitting the floor over bumps

    Hey guys,

I recently noticed knock/clunk(sounds like metal piece is hitting the floor) when I hit small potholes or go over harsh bumps. It's coming from the floor and I can feel the impact through gas pedal and through my ass as well.

I went underneath and tried to find if anything was loose but everything felt tight - suspension, shock, exhaust, etc. Any other areas that I should look closer?

did you check your front and back suspension?
check your transmission mounts and cross brace too.

Yeah, front and back suspension was tight when I checked few days ago.

transmission mount seemed tight without any crack but I can't really get a good look at the subframe.. I'll double check when I can.

Very well could be your exhaust, specifically the catalytic converter hitting the heat shield. Shake it up and down and you will know rather quickly.

Thought I'd report back. It was slightly loose transmission mount bolt. Bolt it tight and it went away.
