    New tires on my new wheels pull to the side "sometimes&

    I got my new wheels one.

    I went for a drive, and noticed I could feel the road a lot more - I LOVE THIS! :D

    However, it does pull to the right or left when accelerating and braking, depending on the road - I think.

    I'm guessing this is because the tires are following the grooves in the road? I'm not positive on whether or not the wheels have been balanced however. So, when I take them off, I may run them to Les Schwab and have them see if they're all balanced.

    Any other ideas?

      Get them balanced anyway...it's cheap. Oh yeah, take pictures!

          How much did Les Schuab charge you to mount tires on the wheels?

              I just put a new set of tires on with my rims, and they balanced out very well. Regular roads are nice and smooth, but I noticed some "trameling" on the highway and it didnt seem as tight as it did with the bottlecaps and 205-60s. The sidewalls on my tires are a bit squishy but the pressure is around 31, I may take it up just a bit. I still need to get my tires broken in, and I dont think you have to worry about this as much as I do.

              Check pressures, maybe get them balanced again, maybe rotate, and see what happens.

                      Stiffer, wider, high-performance tires tend to follow the grade of the road a little bit. My 225 ES100's really like to follow little ruts in the road, especially when I'm braking. You may also have some worn out bushings in the front end. I think that may cause a little slop and allow the wheels to follow ruts easier.

                      If the wheels aren't balanced, then you will feel a vibration at a certain range of speeds. Get out on the highway and bring it up to 85 or so to test them.

                                  Tires came mounted from the previous owner.

                                  I'm thinkin of just bringing the tires in, off the car, and "asking if they're already balanced".

                                  I don't see what the hassle would be, specially if no one else is there. ;-)

                                  I'll get it out on the highway here, and see if I get any vibrations.
