I have 9006 Sylvania Silverstars in the M3

I'm quite happy with them, output isnt blue, its bright white.

Does any company currently make an HID setup for the 9006s?

however, the BEST bulbs you can buy, so far as maximum light output in lumens, regardless of color, are the sylvania bulbs that come in the pink package. I used 9005 bulbs in both lowbeams and highbeams (higher wattage bulb, requires dremelling off one tab on bulb base)

                  Autozone? Schucks? Checker? Walmart?

                  EDIT: http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlight...n-hb3-9005.htm

Order some "PHilips - Hi Visibility" bulbs from there. Here are the bulbs recommended by the experts, NOT a bulb manufacturer:
                  • Sylvania Xtravision (in the pink-and-black package)
Osram Super and SilverStar(outside North America only!)
                    Philips High Visibility (North America)
Premium and Vision Plus (outside North America)
                    Narva RangePower

so these bulbs you can buy at any auto parts store correct? and how much do they run? $15 or so? Also do you use the same bulbs in hi and low beam? I'm not familiar with the lighting at all. Someone educate me. I just want bulbs that are brighter and give off more light, but I don't want bulbs that shine blue at all.

                        you want to be educated?

Read all that stuff. It's great to know, and i think everyone should read it. It should take about 1/2 hour.

You can pick up a pair of thost pink/black packaged xtravisions at any auto parts store, for probably $15/pair. Stock, in US ellipsoids, the E30 comes with 55W 9006 lowbeams, and 65W 9005 highbeams, however, by using the writeup from bmwe34.net you can easily modify the 9005 bulb to fit in the 9006 housing.

I wouldn't recommend that www.suvlights.com place. I got a few bulbs from them a few months ago and three of them have already burnt out. Shipping was pretty damn slow, too.

Thats odd, I have ordered bulbs from them several times, all arrived within a week, all unopened packages and bulbs are still running fine.

Kris...so a pair of those sylvania bulbs that come in the pink package with 9005 bulbs with some modification will fit and will give me more light without a blue ricer bulb look?
