I'm not sure, not having or wanting airbags myself, but I think you may have to have the reset tool.........I've never heard of a way to reset it by jumpering, like with the service reset.

There's a special too for it. Even with the tool, its not easy to convince it to settle down. I'd try disconnecting the airbag unit for a while to see if it'll clear itself first.Adam Fogg- '88 M3
