unplugged airbag sensor, srs light on

I took off my steering wheel to tighten the cruise control switch today and now the srs light is on. Any way to reset?

I'm not sure, not having or wanting airbags myself, but I think you may have to have the reset tool.........I've never heard of a way to reset it by jumpering, like with the service reset.

There's a special too for it. Even with the tool, its not easy to convince it to settle down. I'd try disconnecting the airbag unit for a while to see if it'll clear itself first.

Just a shot in the dark, but how about disconnecting the battery overnight?
