    My future Z4 2.5i SSK...

Ok, I think I've figured everything out that I want to buy to do the SSK for my car, when I drop the tranny, as well as updated carrier bushings.

Please tell me if this is everything I need. ALSO, if I rebuild the linkage, what other parts could I upgrade? Aren't there more washers I could upgrade with better ones?

(got this stuff off a previous thread)

    1x . . . 25 11 7 507 964 - Z4 2.5l Shift Lever $43.81
    4x . . . 25 11 1 220 439 - Spacer Rings
    1x . . . 25 11 1 220 832 - Rubber Bearing sleeve
    2x . . . 25 11 1 220 379 - Circlips $0.50 (one extra)
    1x . . . 25 11 1 220 600 - Shift Bushing - $4.00
    1x . . . Delrin Carrier Bushings - ROUND from UUC Motorwerks - $25 (that's what I want to get right?)

    1. Is that everything I want?

    2. I tried putting the part numbers into BMA's catalog, but it says they can't be found?

Need some help here. I want to figure out everything I need to buy this weekend, and hopefully order everything this upcoming week.

I would totally recommend this upgrade.
Are you doing it yourself or having someone do it for you?
Its not a hard thing to do. You need to replace the busings and clips and the rubber sleeve. There is only a washer and the horizontal pin that holds it into place at the bottom. Technically you can do this from inside your car on the driver side by taking the shifter boot off and so on...
Dont let people tell you that you have to jack up the car and remove the oil pan to get to it!
    Thats
Let me know how it turns out for you.
    Youll love the ssk :)

Oh, DEFINATELY doing it myself. Since I'll be dropping my tranny, I'm going to be dropping lots of money in some upgrades along the way too.

I know I could do it without dropping the tranny, but I figure, might as well do everything since I need a new clutch anyway.

My question is - why isn't BMA gettin anything for those Part Numbers? The old thread dated back in Dec said you could get everything from BMA, and nothin's showin up.

Also, anyone know what other bushings within the actual shift linkage need to be replaced - and what I could replace them with?

I never heard of that last UUC item there. As for the BMA thing, you have to call them up and ask for it over the phone.

So, I kind of still want to rebuild my WHOLE linkage. What exactly do I need to do that? Cause, I understood that the Delrin Bushings aren't really "part" of the linkage.

Also, that above SSK - does that include some of the pieces I need to rebuild my linkage? I'm not sure what all the bushings are. I have the ETK here, but there's so many little bits - I don't have a clue what's worth upgrading to just getting stock again.

Just give BMA a CALL! There prices are very reasonable, so even if you can save a buck or two elsewhere it's not worth the headache trying to piece all of it together. I know a lot of people (myself included) who have ordered this "kit" from them. They have all the part numbers you need and everything there for you. Just tell them you want the SSK, give them some money, and it's done. Even order the UUC bushings if you want. There isn't any sense in making it more complicated than it needs to be.

So, that kit above includes everything I need?

If I buy the UUC Bushings, does it replace something in that kit?

That's basically all I needed to know. If that's teh case, I will be calling BMA and Pacific BMW on Monday, compare prices. :D
