    E30 won't start! Help!

So here's what happened, it was driving fine all day, parked for 10 minutes, then it wouldn't start after. I had exactly 1/4 tank and I've heard that sometimes the pump gets starved so I took a gas can and filled the tank up to 1/2. Still wouldn't turn over. The car has oil, battery is at 12.3V, it cranks, but won't fire. So I swapped the 02 heater relay with the fuel pump relay (same part #) and still nothing... After, I jacked up the car, took a fuel line off the filter and turned the car over, but no fuel came out. With all that done I decided to get a pump from autozone to use temporarily. Hooked it up, dropped it in, still same result. Took it back out, checked all the connections, put it in, still nothing...

If anyone has any leads on this or any advice on what to look for or try I'm all ears! Pretty much out of ideas for now except for getting an OEM pump and trying that.

    Thanks!

Is the pump getting power when the engine is turning? Check fuse 11. And check the fuel rail pressure while cranking.

A battery voltage of 12.3v represents a battery with less than 75% charge. That may, or may not, be sufficient voltage to run the DME. Charge the battery and see what happens.

If still no joy, take a look at http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...9&postcount=16
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I had had the same problem awhile ago. Take out the bottom of the back seat, it just pull up on it and it comes right up. Once thats out, behind the front passenger seat on the bottom of the rear bench you should see a black oval. Hit this black oval while trying to start your car. If it starts after doing this its your fuel pump. Hope this helps man.

Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Okay false alarm... Found an aftermarket switch spliced and electrical taped to the fuel pump power supply wire and it was disconnected... Previous owners are the absolute worst things ever man. Luckily it was under the shift boot so it's easily accessible. Thanks though for the inputs!
